With the deal for a striker called Callum falling through although I know some one called Callum who will be at the ground on Saturday but let’s hope Terry doesn’t use him as a fallback option. We wont have the new striker in for the weekend or even before the transfer window closes at the end of August.
If we want a striker on the bench it looks like it will be one of two players and one of them was in our midfielder poll so if when I announce the results I will look at where they got the highest vote if he is top in both polls and see who got highest in second place.
We now move on to the final part of the starting line up and that’s the bit that has been giving Terry & Stuart the biggest problem in trying to get players.
Terry has always talked about the requirement to have 4 Attackers in the squad and we do have 4 player but at present doesn’t include the so called Target Man, we thought we were almost there with Callum Willock in talks with the club but this afternoon that deal fell through so Terry will either need to go with what we have or pull another one out of the bag. One thing to remember about this season is that it’s the first year that the transfer window will be in force for us.
This means that we can sign players upto the end of August and then nothing until the end of December when it re-opens for January.
I have included 1 player who is also listed as a midfielder so if you didn’t select him in midfield you can select him if you so wish up front. I am also adding a new player option but please consider that this is looking for the starting line up against Luton Town a week on Saturday so it doesn’t leave much time for the new player to come in and get settled. The 5 options are as follows:-
